Founder of The Mind for Money, helping parents raise money-smart kids. About page

Hi, I’m Erik – a dad on a money mission

Hi, I’m Erik – but at home I’m mostly known as “Dad.”
As a father of two curious kids, I found myself asking: How do I actually teach them about money?

I searched, tested, failed, tried again – and realized that financial education doesn’t have to be boring or complicated. It can be fun, practical, and something kids actually enjoy learning.

That’s why I started The Mind For Money: to share simple, real-life tips with other parents who want to raise money-smart kids.

💡 My mission is simple: give families the tools to build confidence, independence, and good habits with money – one small lesson at a time.

And yes… my kids still think money comes from “the magic wall” (the ATM) – but we’re working on that 😅.

Why i do this?

When I became a dad myself, I quickly noticed how little kids actually learn about money. At school they hardly ever talk about saving, making choices, or handling pocket money wisely. Yet in real life, our kids face these decisions every single day.

I didn’t want my own children to make the same expensive mistakes I once made. So, I started looking for ways to make learning about money fun, simple, and practical.

That journey grew into The Mind For Money. A place where I share my experiences, along with tips and tools you can use right away as a parent. Because teaching kids about money isn’t just about saving or spending — it’s about giving them the confidence to manage their future.
